The unifying element of this work is the translation of physical, emotional and thought sensation into color and form.
All works in this series are chalk pastel on paper, some are 22x30 and some 26x40 inches. They come from a much larger body of work that I started making about 35 years ago. A number of them were lost when I was homeless in the early 2000's and I gave many as gifts. These are the remaining few. After a 15 year hiatus, I have started making them again.

These pieces are drawn from a body of work I call "group figures". They are gouache on paper in varying sizes. The subject is experiences I had in groups, some painful and some beautiful.

These images are drawn from a body of work I call "single figures".
The process used to make all of the work in these three bodies of work required me to make specific colors and shapes for each sensation/thought/emotion as it arose in my awareness.
